Changelog 2.0

wiki.bnuy
(\ /) Wiki Bnuy:
( ^ ^) | This is only part one of the update,
c((")(")) | Part two is coming soon with more features and improvements!

First big and major update since the revival of Regpoints.

We are now out of ALPHA and in full public release.

Section titled “We are now out of ALPHA and in full public release.”

Anyone can create any number of regiments, as long as they have a verified account. Regiment deletion is done on an on-request basis. We are no longer on a subdomain, and a redirect is now in place.

  • Manage Invites & Access tab renamed to Manage Access. Removed the Regiment Invite tab.

We now have our own machine where we run our own website. We aren’t dependent of a hosting provider’s limitations, and we can now implement features that were previously impossible due to those limitations.

  • added a reCAPTCHA to the dashboard, and improved security of sensitive tokens.
  • Access/Error logs no longer track IP Addresses.
  • Improved email deliverability.
  • Session times are increased. (20 minutes -> 4 hours)
  • regiments with a large amount of ranks can now modify more settings.

There has been a major change to the database structure both on the dashboard and with the bot.

Section titled “There has been a major change to the database structure both on the dashboard and with the bot.”
  • Previously, admin settings were segregated to regiments.
    • They are now in one global database, so adding features will be a lot easier. (applied early for ease of management)
  • Enlist settings role can now be a list of roles given to the enlisted.
    • Additionally, roles are now separated between Regular and K9 roles.
    • By default, your current data should merge into the Regular role list upon running /enlistsettings info. Please revisit these settings to ensure they are to your satisfaction.
  • Added Co-Owner permissions (see Manage Regiment tab, released early for ease of management). As for bot commands, those still require the Regiment Owner to run those.
  • New documentation is now maintained and linked.

  • New money-related fields on the Manage Regiment > Points and Patrols tab.
    • Functions similar to points.
    • Money can be added via New Patrols or bot commands.
    • /patrol new has money as optional, default is 0.
  • A new Manage Economy tab will appear if you enable your economy.
    • Currently, there is an Import tab where you can import existing Unbelievaboat data into RegPoints.
    • In the future, this page will be for all your economy settings.
  • Economy data is only created on an as-needed basis.
    • If you never enable your economy, those tables will cease to exist.
  • Enabling/disabling economy is done either through the bot or through the portal.
    • Find these settings on Manage Regiment > Points and Patrols tab or run /economy enable/disable.
  • The money symbol is set through the bot via /economy symbol.
    • By default, it will be 🪙.
  • Added /add-money, /remove-money, /balance, and /give-money to start.
    • More economy commands will be implemented in Phase 2 of Economy.

  • Status changes now have the possibility to be announced in a webhook log.

    • Additionally, on the Manage Regiment > Discord tab, there is a checkbox enable to allow/disallow users to run break/hiatus commands themselves.
    • By default, this feature is disabled to maintain staff control over said status changes.
    • Please review the Discord tab in your Manage Regiment settings.
  • Statuses have been renamed:

    • Active,
    • Hiatus,
    • Inactive,
    • Break,
    • Kicked,
    • Retired,
    • Under Investigation,
    • Banned.
  • On the members page, every status has a filter in addition to showing/hiding unlinked members.
    • Filters are now in a dropdown menu and will save upon logout.
    • Patrol filters are also saved on logout.
  • Aliases will now also be logged in name changes, in addition to being able to add/remove via staff-only command.
    • This should allow for ease in additional name claims.
    • Primary aliases can now toggle between set/unset.
  • Optional Discord ID field on manual new member form.
  • On Edit Member, branch is now a dropdown, which will act as a live filter for the Rank/K9 Ranks to only show the current branch’s ranks. No more long lists!

    • Any remaining emojis will turn into Discord-styled emojis.
